APRICUS FOR CHARITY

Apricus Australia is committed to becoming part of the SOLUTION to the disastrous effects of climate change. As part of this vision we’ve committed ourselves to supporting these very special charities who share the same values as we do.
We are now enabling everyone who purchases an Apricus Solar Hot Water System to donate a portion of the cost of their system to one of the following charities:

National Parks & Wildlife

The Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife
The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife is a private charity who fosters the protection of Australia’s animals, plants and cultural heritage through fundraising for environmental education and conservation projects. They are not-for-profit, non-controversial, a-political and independent, and over three decades of creating a living legacy have been created through:

  • Purchase of over 350,000 hectares of habitat and places of natural beauty for 18 national parks
  • Threatened Species Recovery and research for more than 32 species of birds, reptiles, mammals, amphibians and plants, many of which were saved from extinction
  • Cultural Heritage Conservation for more than ten Aboriginal and European historical sites, including Fort Denison and Hill End
  • Education and awareness raising for schools and the wider community.
  • Walking tracks, viewing platforms, interpretive signage and disabled access in many national parks.

Food Water Shelter

Food Water Shelter Incorporated
Food Water Shelter is a not-for-profit organisation: an Australian, non-denominational, non-governmental organisation that builds and runs eco-friendly children's villages with education, social, health and community facilities for children in developing countries. In doing so, FWS aims to enhance the current and future lives of these children so that they are better able to contribute to their community and enjoy their lives.
FWS do this by providing:

  • nourishing meals to orphans
  • access to water for orphans and their wider community
  • a safe shelter for orphans
  • access to health facilities (including HIV-AIDS care) for orphans
  • after-school social and educational programs that teach life skills to orphans
  • weekend classes covering environmental and health issues for the wider community
  • all of the above with minimal impact on the local environment (we endeavour to meet Green Globe's eco-friendly standards on waste minimization, energy efficiency, water conservation and biodiversity conservation).
